South Windsor Public Library

Public Room Use

The South Windsor Public Library has a number of rooms available at no cost to patrons that may be reserved for meetings, events, and private study. Patrons who wish to use these spaces must adhere to the Meeting Room Use Policy and Study Room Policy


Study Rooms

Study Rooms have seating and workspace for 2-4 individuals. Study rooms may be used for quiet study or group meetings; they are not intended for public events.

Meeting Rooms

Meeting Rooms can accommodate 5-112 attendees, depending on the space. Amenities vary from room to room.

Friends' Room

Friends' Room

The Friends' Room is the largest bookable space in SWPL. It can accommodate a maximum of 112 individuals (fewer with tables) and is ideally suited for lectures, movies, and other events. There is a kitchen areas attached to the Friends' Room that can be used to warm up and serve food (use of the kitchen requires a $100 deposit). Tables, chairs, use of a ceiling-mounted projector, and access to the sound system are available upon request.

Seminar Room

The Seminar Room is a small board room-style space with comfortable seating for 8 around the table. The room contains a chalk board.

Children's Program Room

Children's Program Room

The Children's Program Room is a medium-sized space located in the Children and Young Adult Library. There is full-sized and child-sized seating available upon request. This space has a sink in the back of the room.

Board Room

The Board Room is located in the Administrative Wing of the building. Tables and chairs can be arranged to comfortably accommodate groups of up to 20 individuals. Because of its location in the building, this space works better for meetings than public events.
