Exhibit - Demystifying the Burka
August 15 31 in the Friends Room
An exhibit of 25 photographs by South Windsor resident Nilofer Haider. A beautiful sequence of images of young Pakistani girls without head coverings, pre-teen and teen-aged girls with head coverings, and burka- and chador-clad women in Ms Haider's natīve Pakistan. Also on exhibit are embroidery, decorative items, and books donated to the Library by the Pakistani American Ladies Group of South Windsor.
